The National EMS Memorial Bike Ride

    2018 East Coast Route

The East Coast Route begins in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday, May 12 and travels over 500 miles to the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Maryland arriving on Friday, May 18th.  It is here that the participants will be met by the families of the 2018 National EMS Memorial Honorees and invited to attend the National EMS Memorial Service on Saturday, May 19th.


Ride Jersey's are No Longer Guaranteed for participants who register today, merchandise orders have been placed with the manufacturer.

New for 2018

  • Cyclist who register for 3 or more days of participation will receive two distinctly designed National EMS Memorial Bike Ride cycling jerseys.  Each jersey has been designated for use on specific event days.  Single day participants who intend on purchasing a jersey should closely read the jersey schedule listed below to ensure ordering the design that corresponds with your riding day.
  • Event costs of 100% are now required upon initial registration.  There is not a requirement to fundraise through the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride to cover a portion of registration costs.
  • All participants (cyclists, support & wingmen) are required to create a fundraising page as supplied at the end the registration page.  All funds received through participant fundraising are 100% designated into the Fallen Angel Fund and do not count towards the participant registration fee.  This special fund provides a one time financial contribution to the family of EMS Providers who have passed away.  
  • Participants will receive the official hotel list in the registration confirmation email.  All hotel costs and reservations are the responsibility of the participant.
  • Arm Warmers/Sleeves are included with registration.

All participants who register for three or more days of participation will receive TWO DISTINCT 2018 custom designed cycling jerseys.  Each individual jersey will be designated to be worn on specific days of the event.  Participants who are registering for one or two days and wish to purchase a 2018 cycling jersey should review the jersey schedule below prior to selecting a jersey for purchase.

  • Yonkers, NY to Toms River, NJ
    Shuttle service from Lower Manhattan to Toms River, NJ

  • Toms River, NJ to Cape May, NJ

  • Cape May, NJ to Annapolis, MD
    Ferry boat from Cape May, NJ to Lewes, DE

  • Annapolis, MD to National Harbor MD

I understand that the EMS Memorial Bike Ride is both a mentally and physically challenging undertaking. I understand the commitment that is involved, in both time and finances. I am hereby willfully agreeing to make such commitments. I am also hereby certifying that I am in a good physical condition with no impairments that may be cause for my not being able to participate in the event.

I understand that I am agreeing to partake in this event on my own free will, and do understand that there is a certain risk of injury occurring to myself during this event. I fully accept and assume the risk and responsibility for any possible injuries, losses, costs, and/or damages that might occur, and do hereby agree to hold harmless and release from any and all liability the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride, its Sponsors, Coordinators, affiliates, agents, officers and directors, and the owners or lessors of any property and/or premises where the Ride or any Ride-related activities occur (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Ride”).

I further agree and acknowledge that the bicycle I will be using in the Ride is in good working order and that I am familiar with its controls and operation. I agree to abide by all applicable laws, rules and regulations regarding the operation of bicycles, including but not limited to observing all posted traffic signs and warnings.

I acknowledge the responsibility to conduct myself at all times, including during riding hours and during after-hours activities and free time, in a manner befitting the emergency medical services profession and the memory of the EMS professionals who are being honored by this event. I agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Ride for any liability arising in any manner from my conduct or activities during riding hours or during any after-hours activities or free time.

I understand and acknowledge that I am solely responsible to pay any fines, costs or penalties that may be assessed by any law enforcement agency regarding my violation of any laws, regulations, traffic rules or other applicable law.

I acknowledge that I have had an opportunity to fully read this document prior to clicking the acknowledgment box. I understand that by clicking the acknowledgment box this is a legal release of any claims I may have against the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride and the other parties named in this document.
